About The Company
Sino Lanka Group stands as a prominent Sri Lankan conglomerate, comprising over 15 independently operated companies across 8 sectors in 2 markets. Its diversified portfolio spans key industries while embracing forward-looking investments, reflecting commitment to innovation and growth across a broad spectrum of verticals. With a steadfast commitment to customer-centricity and innovation, Sino Lanka has solidified its position as a leader, driving sustainable growth and making significant contributions to Sri Lanka's economic progress and societal development. This dedication has also fueled our regional expansion into Bangladesh.
We operate with a decentralized structure, empowering each subsidiary within the Sino Lanka Group to function autonomously, guided by its own board of directors and shareholders. This approach ensures agile, targeted decision-making and optimal operational efficiency across the board. The Group champions a balanced approach, meticulously serving the interests of shareholders, employees, and the wider community. Sino Lanka consistently fosters innovation, creates enduring value, and strengthens its reputation as a forward-thinking and socially responsible business entity.
Sino Lanka journey began in 1993, laying the groundwork for what would become a diversified powerhouse across Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. What started as a venture in garment manufacturing and trading soon became a story of vision, resilience, and growth. As one of the first five companies granted an export license by the Government of Sri Lanka, we proudly contributed to shaping the nation's apparel industry. With every yard of fabric, every partnership nurtured, and every forward-looking decision, we wove trust, quality, and excellence into our journey, expanding from Sri Lanka to Bangladesh.
Building on our initial successes, we naturally grew into the world of ready-made garment manufacturing, driven by a passion for quality and innovation. This dedication soon connected us with some of the world's most iconic brands - Marks & Spencer, Tommy Hilfiger, American Eagle, Polo, Gap, and Nike who entrusted us to bring their vision to life. Sino Lanka rose steadily within the global apparel community with 15 factories across Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Mauritius, and Morocco, and trading operations in Vietnam. Our story is one of steady expansion, global reach, and a reputation woven with trust.
The late 2000s marked a pivotal strategic shift for Sino Lanka. We made the bold decision to exit the garment sector in 2008, recognizing new horizons for growth. Leveraging our deep expertise and robust resources, we successfully transformed into a leading private equity enterprise. This milestone underscores Sino Lanka's unwavering dedication to growth, adaptability, and long-term success, solidifying our reputation as a forward-thinking and innovative business leader.
Sino Lanka envisions becoming a transformative global force, shaping industries through innovation, integrity, and sustainable development while creating lasting value for every stakeholder.
